Surface Gauss Strength: 1500 or greater

We offer four sizes of neodinium magnets: Mini 3/8”, Small 0.5”, Medium 1.0”, Large 1.5”. Although any size can be used at any anatomical location, some sizes are easier to apply depending on the prescribed point.

Mini magnets - good for the fingertips, face, eyes, nose, ears, and can be placed over other magnets when the same point is required for an additional pair.
Small magnets - good for hands, neck, and head.
Medium magnets - good for arms, abdomen, and thorax.
Large magnets - good for back and the legs.

In addition, individual preferences also play a role in what size is chosen.

To receive the proper benefit, magnets used in biomagnetism must have a minimum of 1,000 surface gauss. The surface gauss rating shows how strong a magnet will be when it is actually used. However, the most common gauss rating comes from the core gauss. The core gauss refers to the gauss rating of the internal portion of the magnet where the magnetic force at the dead center is at a maximum. This core gauss is typically 10 times stronger than the surface Gauss. Therefore, our magnets, with a surface gauss rating of at least 1500 will correlate with a core gauss strength of 14,000 or greater.
