Gluten/Dairy Digest - 60 Capsules
Gluten/Dairy Digest is a blend of digestive enzymes that support normal gluten and dairy digestion. Gluten/Dairy Digest helps to relieve bloating or gas due to dairy consumption.*
Gluten/Dairy Digest contains a blend of digestive enzymes targeting gluten and dairy digestion. It provides a blend of proteases specially formulated to help break down gluten peptide fragments in normal digestive systems. Studies suggest that it may also promote a healthy cytokine balance to support G.I. comfort and function. Additionally, this formula provides a unique mixture of protease enzymes and lactase to assist digestion of multiple constituents of milk and dairy products. Protease enzymes targeting casein and beta-lactoglobulin proteins support dairy protein digestion. Casein is the predominant protein in milk and cheese, while beta-lactoglobulin occurs primarily in the whey fraction of milk. Beta-lactoglobulin is an acid-stable protein and therefore may not be broken down by pepsin and pancreatin. Lactase breaks down the milk sugar lactose, helping to relieve occasional bloating or gas that some people can experience from dairy consumption. If you are on a controlled diet and/or under the care of a health professional for dairy and/or gluten digestion, continue to follow those recommendations. This product is not intended to substitute for the recommendations of a health professional.*

L-Glutamine Powder - 30 Servings
Thorne's L-Glutamine Powder is NSF Certified for Sport®. Evidence suggests supplemental L-glutamine benefits gastrointestinal health, supports wound healing, maintains immune health, and helps restore plasma glutamine levels depleted after periods of physical stress, such as prolonged exhaustive exercise.* L-glutamine is the most prevalent amino acid in the bloodstream. It is found in high concentration in the gastrointestinal tract, which is its greatest user. Various stress factors – such as trauma, infection, malnutrition, chemotherapy, injury, and high-level athletic training – can adversely affect absorption in the small intestine, leading to food allergies. In numerous animal studies, the addition of L-glutamine improved absorption, as well as the gut's immune function.*
Skeletal muscles contain the greatest intracellular concentration of L-glutamine. But that concentration can be adversely affected by various insults, including injury, infection, chronic stress, malnutrition, and glucocorticoid use. Intense exercise lowers blood levels of glutamine, which can remain low if intense training is repeated without adequate recovery. Research indicates L-glutamine supplementation can offset these conditions.*
Because an athlete needs to know that his or her supplements are trustworthy and compliant, every batch of an NSF Certified for Sport® product is tested for compliance with label claims and to ensure the absence of more than 200 substances banned by many major athletic organizations, including stimulants, narcotics, steroids, diuretics, beta-2 agonists, and masking agents.
